Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 500-bed public teaching hospital located in Queens, in what has been described as the most ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world. One of the busiest Level 1 trauma centers in Queens, it has been supporting Emergency Medicine residency education since 1989. Our residents rotate in the emergency department for one block as an EM1 and two blocks each of the EM2 and EM3 years, concentrating on the care of trauma patients.
